Data Privacy Statement

Confidentiality

Your privacy is central to the therapeutic process. What you share in therapy remains confidential. I do not disclose any information about you—or your participation in therapy—without your prior consent.

There are, however, specific circumstances where confidentiality may be ethically or legally limited. These include situations where:

• There is a serious risk of harm to yourself
• There is a risk of harm to another person
• There are concerns of abuse or neglect involving a child or a vulnerable adult
• There is disclosure of misconduct or impairment by another healthcare professional that may place others at risk
• The client is under 18 years of age, in which case parents or legal guardians may have access to relevant information

In such situations, only the necessary information is shared, and every effort is made to protect your dignity and privacy.

Communication & Data Privacy

Communication for scheduling and brief coordination may take place via email or messaging platforms such as WhatsApp. While reasonable care is taken, these channels may not be fully secure, and discretion is advised when sharing sensitive information.

Session notes and personal information are maintained securely and are accessible only to the therapist. No identifying information is shared without consent, except in the limited circumstances outlined above. These forms of communication are intended for coordination and not for therapeutic discussion.

Professional Consultation

At times, I may seek professional consultation or supervision to support the therapeutic process. In such cases, all identifying details are removed to maintain your confidentiality.

Emergency Situations

Therapy services provided here are not designed for emergency support. If you are in immediate distress or crisis, please seek help through local emergency services or appropriate crisis support resources.

Further Discussion

Confidentiality, its limits, and how your information is handled will be discussed in greater detail during the first session.
